These include several types of slipper orchids,
Bulbophyllums, Cirrhopetalums, Rhynchostylis etc.
plus the world's largest orchid species Grammatophyllum
speciosum.
The garden also contains thousands of Bromeliad
plants of over one hundred species and hybrids.
These plants are grown as much for their beautifully
coloured and attractively shaped leaves as for
their long-lasting exotic flowers.
Some of the flowers remain attractive for three
to six months, others last just one day.
