Phuket Zoo is a private zoo. It is
not supported by the government. The zoo opened
in 1997.
The zoo occupies an area of about
30 rai or 12 acres or 5 hectares. The winding
paths shaded by many large fig trees (Ficus species)
let you wander around in comfort for hours.
Stands selling water, soft drinks, beer and ice
cream, etc. are scattered around the grounds.
Several rest rooms/ W.C.s are available.

Be a guest at Phuket Zoo and get a close encounter
with an amazing range of animals like thousands
of crocodiles, many camels, tigers, ostriches, emus
and other rare birds. This is a place that challenges
your perceptions of life on earth.
